Superior Gym Repair Service with Unparalleled Customer Service

To whom it may concern, Rob Ferreira (Pristine Fitness) has worked directly with me since August 2008 handling the repairs and maintenance of over one hundred (100) differently branded cardio machines, and all of the repairs in three (3) full weight rooms. His attention to detail and his ability to quickly respond to emergency needs has always been appreciated. I have worked with countless vendors and subcontractors throughout my 10-year career here at UC Berkeley, and as an owner of a construction company for 25 years before my tenure her at UC Berkeley. Rob is definitely one of the best and most consistent contractors I have worked with. He keeps fastidious records of all past repairs, and a calendar of upcoming repairs.

I just wanted to take a moment to reach out to everyone to share my experience earlier today with James from Pristine Fitness. I want to thank James for listening to me rant on the phone, and still daring to come to our facility to check out the Power Mill unit that is down. He called to let me know he was assigned to come diagnose one of our Power Mill units. I warned him that I would rather wait 6 months for Joe Zavala to come fix it, than to allow another outside vendor come in to monkey around pretend they know anything and basically try to milk the service call for repeat "attempts" to fix it. I warned him that I was preparing to email LifeFitness today to express my frustration with the last vendor they sent out to work on this unit. I did not want James to get blamed if he was in fact on site on the day I sent my complaint to LF. He made a few calls and decided to brave the gig. Second, although I was in a meeting when James arrived, our supervisor was able to take him to the unit in question, and he spent at least 45 min. assessing the situation. I came down as soon as my meeting was out (mostly to check in, and to give him a face to go with the crazy woman he spoke to on the phone). James was so awesome, and obviously well versed in working on the Power Mill unit. He was able to diagnose the problem, and able to get across his knowledge/expertise without talking down to me. He's a nice guy, knowledgeable repair man and overall very amazing rep for Pristine Fitness and Life Fitness. In fact, in my 20 years at US, I can count on 1 hand (not using all fingers) the number of repair personnel who are as awesome as James. By the way, he hasn't even fixed it yet, but he was able to earn my trust in a very short time. I had planned to email LifeFitness today to inform them to make a note on our account that we prefer to wait 6 months for Joe Zavala, and to not waste our time sending another contractor. Instead I'm hoping that you can make a note on my account, that if Joe Zavala is unable to perform a repair, please direct our service call to James from Pristine Fitness. And I'd like to ask Robert from Pristine Fitness to make a note that we would be willing to wait for James if LF does in fact send a service call for the Koret Health & Fitness Center at USF. Lastly, I appreciate that James did not bad mouth anyone, instead he spoke to how skilled Joe Zavala is in diagnosing and repairing equipment. I'm sure my email sounds insane, but I did want to take the time to put something positive in writing to document our experience.

I have been promoted out of the field and no longer cover service. I oversee our service providers and deal wIth Instal coordination. I assure vou Robert and his employees are by far the best independent service provider I trust and will treat you and your equipment as I have. They are knowledgeable and truly care about what they do!

Pristine Fitness Repair provided excellent service for my Life Fitness gym equipment. They were able to effectively reach out to me to schedule an appointment that best suited my own needs, making it an easy and stress-free interaction. Their technician arrived promptly, earlier than expected as a matter of fact, and quickly identified the issue, even providing me with instructions to ensure I can maintain my equipment in the long-run. Their service was kind and respectful all the way around. They are definitely there to help you out and I will not hesitate to contact them if I ever need any of my exercise equipment repaired or serviced. Do not second guess their quality or professionalism!

My repair is still in progress, but I am confident Ricky is going to take care of me. Pristine fixed my Life Fitness bike of 10 years about 5 years ago. We called Pristine to see if they could fix it again and Ricky came out. We had hoped that all it needed was a new battery. He worked really hard to replace that battery but once it was in, he told me it was not repaired yet and that he would need to order a new part and come back. We are still waiting for that part, but we loved the customer service that Pristine provided. Ricky was super knowledgeable about our dinosaur bike. Since the quote was not going to fix the bike he did not take payment from me for that service. He is going to re-assess the service and repair when he returns. I think that was super fair of him. Ricky seemed very passionate about his work and really had the customer's best interest at heart, which was really appreciated. I would highly recommend Pristine Fitness Repair.

Back in 2006, a wise physician told me if there was one prescription he would write for his patients, it would be regular exercise. This motivated me to buy a treadmill and start an exercise program at home. Since then, I've been using my treadmill 1 - 2 hours most days, covering 4 - 8 miles, while listening to music, the news or audio books. Over time, due to inevitable wear and tear from prolonged use, I've experienced occasional problems with my treadmill's motor, motor belt, incline lift, circuit board and deck belt. Fortunately, when these various issues arose, Pristine Fitness came to the rescue. Problems were fixed promptly and efficiently. The techs who helped me include Rob (the owner), Oleka, Rob#2, and Ricky. They're all courteous, knowledgeable and diligent professionals with a lot of experience. I also appreciate the pleasant and responsive office staff -- Anna, Chris, Aliana and Megan. All have been helpful whenever I requested maintenance service. If you're looking for excellent and trustworthy service for your exercise equipment, I highly recommend the wonderful folks at Pristine Fitness!

I called to get someone to come to my house and tune up my 15 year old Precor treadmill. I scheduled an appointment and Zach arrived from Pristine Fitness Repair on time. He even called to let me know exactly when he would be arriving since the company gave me a window between 9 and 11 am. Zach was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He did a great job with our machine. It's like new now. The price was very reasonable for in home service. I highly recommend Pristine Fitness Repair. Thank you Zach for doing a fabulous job!
